At Lookout Mt. We created a school choice display. Each grade grade is highlighted as well as our special areas. We tried to display the above and beyond enrichment activities.

This display is in our library. This was part of our tour at our kindergarten round up.

"Good Neighbor Good Grounds” recycling program and Our Garden

Materials for this year’s garden were provided through the generous donations of parents and local businesses, including Moon Valley Nurseries, Sam’s Club, and Home Depot. In addition, this year the school has partnered with McDonalds restaurants  “Good Neighbor Good Grounds” recycling program, which diverts used coffee grounds from the waste stream and uses them to add nutrients to soil or compost.

On February 10, representatives from McDonalds were on hand as the first round of grounds were delivered to the school, and the children had the opportunity to work the grounds into the soil. These first graders are looking forward to an exciting spring as they watch their garden come to life!
