Lookout Mountain is excited to have its new band teacher this year! We would like to welcome Alex Mariscal, also known as Mr. M or Mr. Music, to our wonderful community. He graduated from ASU with his bachelor’s in Music Education in 2013 and has taught at the Osborn School district for 3 years. He can virtually play every instrument but his primary instrument is the cello, playing for about 12 years. Our children are certainly fortunate to have a musical educator like Mr. M. Don’t be shy to get to meet him!

Musically yours,

Evening Concert at Thunderbird HS 7:00 p.m.

The Area 5 Festival is a long running tradition in the WESD school district.  It gives our sixth graders an opportunity to meet and work with the Mountain Sky director, Kirsten Dukeshier, as well as get a glimpse of what awaits them in high school with Mr. Dana Graybeal and Vocal Ensemble! Students also have been looking forward to our lunch off campus!  Lunch at Peter Piper is a well-deserved reward and gives students a chance to mingle with students from the other elementary feeder schools.

Lookout Mountain students should wear class/Lookout Mountain shirts during the day/rehearsal, and nice concert dress for the evening performance at 7:00 p.m. @ Thunderbird High School (black, white, and wear an accent color of Gold or Yellow) on Thursday, October 19th.

CANDLES NEEDED:  Each student is encouraged to bring a small electric candle to use as a prop.  You can find these at dollar stores.  They should be small enough to fit in a pocket. If you have extras, please bring and we can distribute to those who don’t have one!

ALSO NEEDED: If you are interested in chaperoning our October 19th field trip, please e-mail me at:
