Letters to our Troops

We are running a care package campaign for deployed service members from all branches of the military for the holidays. We are asking for our students to write a letter to put in each package that we send out.

We ship 600 packages to troops of all branches all over the world. We ask that these letters be turned in by November 1st.

 Tips for the  letters

· Express their thanks for our Military Members’ selfless service

 · Share about themselves, eg. Family, Pets, and favorite Sports or Hobbies, Movies

· Include students’ FIRST NAMES ONLY - Please include the School Name/Teacher, Contact Info(mailing address or email) on every letter so recipients can write back

 · Are your students too young to write letters? Consider drawing or painting pictures instead and include your own note with their age on it.

Thank you for your consideration and time.

A Message from the LM Library

A Message from the LM Library

Dear Parents,

Below is information regarding book care and the library’s policies and procedures.  Please contact Mrs. Lee at 602-896-5909 or by e-mail at karissa.lee@wesdschools.org, if you have any questions and or concerns.

●  It is the students’ responsibility to handle library books with care.

●  Please keep books away from pets, food and all liquids, especially water bottles in backpacks.  Any book damage needs to be reported to the library as soon as possible so we can attempt repairs.

●  Library books may be kept for one week, then must be returned.  However, a book may be renewed if the student has not finished reading it. An overdue book means a student cannot borrow another book until the book is renewed or returned.

●  If a book is lost, payment towards a replacement will be requested from the parents.

●  If your family plans to move, please return all books before moving.

We accept book donations!  Please consider donating gently used or new books to our Lookout Mountain Library.

Thank you for all you do to support our library,

Mrs.Lee
